How shipping with pane via FedEx and DHL works — step by step.
1. Create an account
Sign up for free at app.pane.gr. No contract, minimum shipment volume, or setup fee required.
2. Export preparation
If you plan to send parcels outside the EU, you need an exporter number (EORI — Economic Operator Identification and Registration) and you must authorize the carrier (FedEx or DHL, via ICISnet) to complete the export customs process on your behalf. Both steps are straightforward, done online, and take only a few minutes. See details here.
3. Enter shipment details
Fill in recipient details, package dimensions and weight, and declared value. The system automatically calculates the cost and shows you the cheapest option.
4. Approval and payment
The system will verify your shipment details. Once approved, you will receive a notification to pay for the shipment or to provide additional documents (invoices, clarifications, etc.).
5. Print the shipping label
Once confirmed, you automatically receive the FedEx or DHL shipping label as a PDF. Print it and stick it on your package.
6. Pickup from your premises
FedEx or DHL picks up the package directly from your business. You don't need to go anywhere.
7. Tracking & Delivery
Track your shipment at every step. For USA DDP shipments, customs clearance happens automatically — the recipient pays nothing.
8. Additional charges
If additional charges arise (for example, if the actual package size/weight differs from what you entered, or if extra customs charges occur), the difference will be charged to your credit card and you will receive the corresponding invoice.
